India to Provide Nation-Wide 3G Services by 2012

The Indian government plans to complete deployment of 3G services across the nation by 2010. In response to the government's policy, TRAI (The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) has drawn up a guideline with regards to the pricing and allocation of 3G spectrum. According to the guideline, which will be approved by India's Department of Telecom later on, 450 MHz, 800 MHz, and 2100 MHz are to be used for 3G services.
